Patna : Education department of Bihar has announced an hour increament of 15% of the salary starting from 1st of April Next year. The salary revised only for the teacher and librarian.
The 15 percent pay increase would be based on the basic salary and will be payable on a contract basis to teachers appointed since 2006. The state government has also agreed to increase the government’s contribution to the employee provident fund ( EPF). About 20 per cent of the overall hike will come.
Government hikes salaries of teachers
According to the State Department of Education, teachers and librarians working in Panchayati Raj ‘s educational institutions and local urban bodies (Municipal Institutions) would benefit.
The salary hike was suggested by the Department of Education, which was approved Tuesday by the state cabinet attended by CM Nitish Kumar. The plan also contained more advantages for school ‘niyojit teacher’.
